As the one day of the year set aside to celebrate love, Valentine’s Day is truly unique. So why not create a special Valentine’s Day table this year to delight those you love?
I love sharing different table and entertaining ideas all year ’round, and Valentine’s Day is no exception. I had big plans to create a Valentine’s Day table setting to share with you, but my husband and I are in the middle of a big painting project (see my last post), and our dining room is currently filled with tarps and paint cans!
So this year we’ll be enjoying our Valentine’s Day dinner at the kitchen table (see below). I’ll still try to make it pretty and special, but with dishes in the sink and a smelly bulldog nearby, the kitchen isn’t quite as romantic as the dining room!
Whether you’re planning a romantic dinner for two, a family celebration, or perhaps a “galentines” day party with your girlfriends, any of the following Valentine’s Day table setting ideas will help you create a memorable and special celebration of the day of love.
You can create a beautiful Valentine’s Day table without spending a lot of money. When I decorate the table, I love using things I already have on hand–it allows me to think outside the box a bit. One time I used curly kale in a vase as my centerpiece!
Let these Valentine’s Day table setting ideas inspire you, then gather things from around your home and get creative.
Fresh or faux flowers, branches and greenery are always lovely. And don’t forget to add lots of candles! There’s nothing more romantic and beautiful than flickering candlelight.
This might be the perfect time to break out the fancy china, stem ware and silverware you received for your wedding. I also love using my gold flatware for Valentine’s Day because it goes so beautifully with pink!
No matter how you celebrate Valentine’s Day, “above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.” Colossians 3:14
