I just love decorating my table for Easter! I think it’s because I get to bring out all of my prettiest plates, napkins, tablecloths, and do-dads!
Whether you decide to keep everything white, add a few pastels, go with a theme (i.e., springtime, religious, floral, rustic, traditional), or just throw on a bunch of bunnies, chicks, and eggs, you really can’t go wrong with an Easter table setting!
All of these settings began with a simple burlap table runner from Target’s dollar spot. (World Market also carries neat table runners made of moss!) I then used simple white plates as chargers and added different plates, napkins, and “accessories” to show how you can easily create different looks.
I hope these simple Easter table setting ideas will help get your creative juices flowing and inspire you to create your own special tablescape this year.
Simple Easter Table Setting Ideas
In this setting, I simply added some Easter eggs that the girls and I dyed several years ago. (We made little holes in the ends and blew out the inside of the eggs, then dipped and swirled them in different colors to create a pretty effect.)
Here’s a close-up of some of the eggs. Aren’t they pretty?
The next Easter table setting idea incorporates a pretty bird’s nest, which I recently found at a flea market. You can find similar nests at World Market. I also added a pretty juicer, to show that you can use practically anything from your kitchen or china cupboard to add a bit of personality to your table.
This setting uses the napkin and silverware as the central focal point on the plate. I then used a simple garland, from Hobby Lobby, to add a fresh pop of green to the table.
The following table setting incorporates a pretty bird-themed plate, from Pier One Imports, along with my little nest. I also went with plain white napkins so they wouldn’t clash with the patterned plate.
The following table setting is a simple, traditional look, which I love.
Easter eggs again–this time with the garland. I love how every little change creates a new look!
Here’s something that never fails to look great–no matter what the occasion–simply lay a beautiful fresh flower on each plate! Later, you can send a flower home with each of your guests as a little memento of your meal together.
And speaking of flowers, remember that you can never go wrong with a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers as your table’s main feature! When I have the time, I love to make individual place cards — I think this simple addition helps guests feel extra special!
Here’s what I’m planning for my centerpiece this year: a wooden stand from Target, topped with a boxwood wreath (also from Target), and a bowl filled with the same Easter eggs shown above. So simple! Plus, it doesn’t take up a huge amount of space, so I’ll have plenty of room for platters and such.
No matter what Easter table setting ideas you choose, remember that the number one thing that will beautify your table is the presence of the people you love seated around it!
