What are Oushak rugs?
The type of vintage rugs and runners I love are Oushak (pronounced ü-ˈshäk). Also called Ushak or Anatolian rugs, Oushak runners and rugs are named after the city of Usak, Turkey.
These beautiful rugs and runners have a distinctive design and employ soft pastels, pink, cinnamon, terra cotta, blue, ivory, and saffron as their primary colors.
The particular type of wool used in creating these rugs adds to their luminous nature.

Tips to make shopping for vintage Turkish rugs and runners easier
Vintage Turkish runners and rugs come in many sizes, so to save time, I suggest measuring your space before you shop and making a note of the size ranges that will work for you.
You can then search by rug size to narrow down your options. If the size of the rug or runner isn’t listed in the description, you can find it by clicking on “Item Details” followed by “Read Full Description.”
You can often narrow down your search results by color (i.e., pink, orange, gray, or muted) as well.
